About

You’ll be dealing with me.

Tools bought, experiments run, nothing measured. If that’s where your business has landed with AI, you’re the person this page is for.

I’m Paul Korber, founder of Korbai. I’ve spent twenty years in commercial technology, spanning digital marketing and search, turning new technology into commercial results, for one of the world’s biggest tech companies and for service-based businesses of my own. Eight of those years were at Microsoft, leading channel sales across Asia Pacific.

Most AI consultants have the corporate credentials or the founder scars. I have both. So when I look at your business, I’m looking for where it pays.

01 · The job

The job has never changed. Only the medium has.

Complex things only create value when someone shapes them so people can use them. That’s been the job for twenty years.

It began in film sound, then digital marketing and search, turning thousands of signals into customers you could count. Then Microsoft, working a sprawling partner network across Asia Pacific into commercial results. Alongside it, coaching business owners: reading where they were stuck, matching them to the fix. Now AI, the most scattered and overwhelming toolkit a business owner has ever been handed.

Take what’s scattered. Make something that carries weight.

02 · Why that matters

This practice is built on having done both.

Most AI consultants are one of two things: pure technologists who can’t sell, or corporate escapees who’ve never run anything. This practice is built on having done both: the corporate credibility and the founder scar tissue. And that shapes everything: what gets built, how it’s sold to your team, and what I’ll tell you isn’t worth doing.

The technologist’s gap

Brilliant builds that nobody adopts, because nobody sold the change to the people doing the work.

The escapee’s gap

Polished strategy from people who’ve never made payroll, chased an invoice, or lived with their own advice.

70% people, 30% tools

The technology is the easy part. Most of the work is people and change, and that’s the part I’ve spent twenty years doing.

“Not only does he have a deep understanding of AI but also business. As a result he found real opportunities for us, was honest about where AI doesn’t belong.”

03 · Who I work with

Sydney service-based businesses

Sydney service-based businesses, including professional services firms: the businesses where hours are the product, so hours saved go straight to the bottom line.

The owners, principals and COOs I work with are capable and time-poor. They’re not behind. They’re busy running a real business while the AI noise gets louder every week. If that’s you, you’re exactly who this is for. I’m Sydney-based, and I’ll work in the room with you where it helps.

The honest feeling, for most owners I meet, is: “where do you even start?”

That’s the right question, and it’s where every engagement starts.
04 · The method

Every engagement runs the same way

Find where AI pays first, prove it, and build from there. One thing at a time, until it’s simply how your business works. No giant overhaul, and nothing that ends up gathering dust.

Get started

Thirty minutes. No pitch, just straight answers.

Book a discovery call. Tell me how your business runs, and I’ll tell you where AI would genuinely help, and where it wouldn’t. Sydney-based, and happy to do it in person.
